Practice Fields/Scheduling

The Details

Practice times and locations are determined by the manager of each team. EOLL maintains relationships with Orange County parks and recreation, Eastwood HOA, Waterford Lakes HOA, and Wedgefield HOA. There are 12 diamonds available for practice. Each field and time must be scheduled with the Vice President of the league. Practice fields will be scheduled at a pre-season manager meeting.

The Bithlo fields will be open for pre-season practice. Once the season starts, most fields are occupied each night with games.

Any team assigned to the Eastwood or Waterford fields MUST FILL OUT ADDITIONAL RELEASE FORMS provided by the respective HOA. Any team that does not comply with the additional requirement will be removed from the practice slot.

The competitive divisions (Seniors, Juniors and Major divisions) have the first choice of practice slots, for ONE spot. Every other division will be assigned one practice slot at that time. Tee-ball and Coach Pitch teams may be asked to double up on practice fields and/or use drop down bases on an alternate field location.

Practice fields are at a premium. It is imperative that each Manager and team take proper care of the facilities provided. Soft toss hitting against the fence is not permitted on any of the available fields. Feel free to bring a portable hitting net for soft toss drills. All trash must be picked up and disposed of at the conclusion of each practice. All safety requirements must be followed at all times.

Bithlo Fields

Bithlo has 6 fields.

Field 1 is a 90' diamond.

Fields 2, 3, 4 are 60' diamonds.

Field 5 is 60' with a shortened outfield.

Field 6 is a true softball diamond.

Waterford Lakes

Waterford Recreation Center houses 3 fields.

Field 1 is a 60' diamond.

Field 2 is a 60' diamond.

Field 3 is a 60' diamond.

Players and managers who use the Waterford Lakes fields must turn in a release form. The HOA of Waterford will remove anyone who does not have their forms turned in. You can download the form by clicking here. Fill it out and turn them into your player agent.

Eastwood Fields

Field 1: Called Central Park, is a 60' diamond

Central Park is on Golfway Blvd next to Sunrise Elementary School, near the access gate in the rear of the Eastwood community.

Field 2: Called West Gate, is a 60' diamond

West Gate Park is on Golfway Blvd just behind the Publix on Alafaya Trail near the front of the Eastwood community.

Players and managers who use the Eastwood fields must turn in a release form. The HOA of Eastwood will remove anyone who does not have their forms turned in.

Wedgefield

This field is located in the center of the Wedgefield community.
